THE CROOK FAMILY

The Crook Family is an experienced and accomplished Welsh roots acoustic trio playing exciting and insightful original songs laced with passion, wit and musicality. After hearing their delicious harmonies, a Radio Wales presenter was moved to declare “these guys are one of the best of best Welsh bands.”

In April 2008 they supported Jethro Tull at a sold out St Davids Hall, Cardiff and were joined on stage by Ian Anderson himself who played on several of their tunes. They went down so well that they sold out of CDs during the interval!

Summer 2008 finds them with a busy festival schedule, including supporting Eliza Carthy at Tenby Folk Festival.

The Crook Family have performed sessions for Alan Thompson on Radio Wales as well as being played on Frank Hennessy’s ‘Celtic Heartbeat’.

One year on from the release of their debut eponymous album, on which they were joined by Cerys Matthew’s guitarist Kevin Teal, The Crook Family are currently recording an eagerly awaited follow-up to be released soon.

“Fiver Sale and Vampires are two fully formed classics dropped from heaven” Alan Thompson, The Evening Show, Radio Wales.
