THE LEFT

Vancouver, BC

about +
THE LEFT are a close-knit family of light-hearted
brothers and cousins. This exceptionally talented
band of entertainers grew up in the same village of
Langley, British Columbia and attended the same
high school and college. All were taught music by the same teacher, Mr. Davis (father of brothers Eric and Carl). This tight family bond has developed an “all for one, one for all” attitude, which transfers to the stage in perfected four-part harmony as they share in the musical responsibilities of THE LEFT.

The romantic and thought-provoking music of THE
LEFT seems to flow from the band effortlessly.
Driven with an emotional undertone of “melancholy
meets hope” and delivered through a crafted wall of
inspired sound, THE LEFT have a knack for creating
integral songs, flushed full of heartfelt honesty and
substance. Inspired by contemporary favorites such
as Death Cab For Cutie, with respects paid to classic
giants of our time such as the Beatles and Coldplay,
THE LEFT is a new movement, gaining quick
momentum and allegiance with loyal followers - and they’re only just beginning to shine!

THE LEFT was produced by multi-platinum award winning GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The
Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Ben Kaplan
(Shakira, Hedley). Each song has been a work of
love and the band has been developing their sound
with this team for the past five years. Radio will be
pleased as the CD was mixed by one of the most
prolific mixers of the last decade, Randy Staub
(Bryan Adams, U2) and professionally mastered in
Hollywood by world-renowned Alan “Blues Lee”
Yoshida (Paul McCartney, Miles Davis). The album is
an eleven-song, sonically impeccable powerhouse
that is sure to translate on AAA and AC radio
formats.
