After forming many hugely successful bands that never got off the ground, James Logan has finally hit on a formula that works.

Logan's last band, "Stale Hearts", never actually made it to a single pratice. Before "Stale Hearts", Logan had written techno-rap under the guise of "Texture One-Eleven", and even before that, written satirical Sweedish Trip-Hop with a band of misfits called ION (the Idiots Of Nowhere).

Logan's last band, "Stale Hearts", never actually made it to a single pratice. Before "Stale Hearts", Logan had written techno-rap under the guise of "Texture One-Eleven", and even before that, written satirical Sweedish Trip-Hop with a band of misfits called ION (the Idiots Of Nowhere).

Trained as a classical pianist, vocalist, guitarist, hedonist, and Mark Spitz, James Logan formed "Five Minute Freakout" in Q1 of 2005 as a musical outlet and tax write-off. After a historic performance in Walt Whitman's basement, Logan met up with "LaPuBelle" frontman Mike Parsons. Logan and Parsons went out for a few drinks, and after throwing up in Parsons' closet, Logan suggested they combine forces to create a band of moderate proportions.

Turmoil grew when Logan refused to let their "super-band" be called "Five Minute Freakout and LaPuBelle". Logan was quoted saying "What are we, a bunch of Mexican Mimes?"

By the next day, Logan and Parsons were drunk again, and decided that the name "Five Minute Freakout & The Maybe Babies" was "pretty damn funny" and that Logan "really loved" Parsons but "not that way, man" shortly before throwing up in Parson's muffler.

Now, "Five Minute Freakout & The Maybe Babies" are working on their first album "Corporate Man/Love Machine", with their first single, the album's title track, having just been released! (-) collapse
