In our heads we're just making our version of pop music. We listen to all kinds of music and we're not trying to sound like anyone else. We've been called everything from 'Bristol-beats obsessives' to 'tuneless noise'.

We like the drums to be really loud and big, bigger than your average drum n bass or metal track. We use a lot of guitar sounds, but most of the time they're barely recognizable as guitar-generated. We like bass-lines (Barry Adamson's bass playing in Magazine and Dean Garcia from Curve / SPC-ECO are a particular obsession). We like reverse reverb, echo and delay. We also love Mark Hollis's (Talk Talk) voice. And Kate Bush. And John Lydon.

Unlike most bands, we're not interested in genre or trying to narrow our sound down. Where is the rule wriiten that states you're only allowed to listen to what your friends or the magazines say is cool?
