The Romans are a four piece indie rock band hailing from Atlanta GA. Their music combines elements of dark new wave, 80′s pop, and alternative music. Lush atmospheric soundscapes engulf haunted plaintive vocals all while serving as a backdrop for extremely philosophical lyrics dealing with loss, self realization, melancholy, brokenness and infinite joy. This ability to move effortlessly from dark to light and loud to soft within a set or on an album is what sets them apart from other bands within their genre.

The band initially began as a three piece featuring Aaron Whitehouse on bass and vocals, Ryan Clevenger on drums, and Zevi on guitar. In a span of about 3 months, they put together a demo which grabbed the attention of Atlanta based producer John Rosser who offered to produce their debut EP. As a result, the EP SAMO was made. Through this successful collaboration of producing/writing with the band, Rosser was invited to join officially, and he accepted the offer. They have been welcomed into the Atlanta music scene with glowing reviews. Recently they have received an offer to record a full length album with Dean Roland (Collective Soul) and Atlanta based producer Ryan Potesta, which is scheduled to commence in 2012…
