Biography

I've been kind of an outsider in the DC scene for the past seven years. I record everything alone, and my output is pretty varied. Lately, I've been making a lot of electronic pop, but I'm just as comfortable making roots rock. Somehow I made it onto the 40 People Under 40 list in Washingtonian magazine last year, Paste mag called my first album "brilliant" and the Washington Post said my sound "defines the sound of alternative indie pop."

That being said, I'm still a working stiff, but I would love to make music all the time.

I also write and play in a band called June Star with my frie... (+) expand

Morning - I couldn't find Synapse on ITunes but that might be because I'm on the UK ITunes which apparently differs on occasion from US ITunes (I think). But I did find June Star - two albums, Telegraph and Songs From an Engineers Daughter. I assume this is your band too?

i love your new songs, but it's better if you don't rush on uploading them:
leave the time to people to listen to your first songs, and then release the others...otherwise it'll be difficult for your listeners to bump everything :)

Anytime. Your music is very well done and I have bumped you. It just makes me mad when people do that to an artist with your talent. They can always come back once the song has been bumped more but give the song a chance first.

Your music really strikes a chord for me, it gets my foot tappin, head bobbin, trying to sing along with lyrics I haven't learned yet :)

Oh and also, I always find it amazing when the artist, such as yourself, lets us download their tracks. My train ride to work will now be that much better with these tracks on the ole iPod.
