All you have to do to record anything is just be sure to isolate the sound signal. You can use mattresses, blankets, anything to isolate the source of the sound (and not the reverberating sound of a guitar or vocals bouncing off of walls back into the mic). It's common in the indie world. I'll admit it, The Clintons use mattresses on every record! I still just don't get how Goodnight Sunrise can make their sound SOOOO good. I love that band.

Dude, you found "Goodnight Sunrise." They're amazing! They're an indie band out of Helena, Montana, and you'd think by the way they record crap that they're recording in big ass studios. Nope. Good ol' Mac computers. It kills me how good those kids are. Good work on that one! Cheers! John

No prob my friend. I get what your saying. Just thought i'd voice my thoughts too. Thanks for the support. Keep rocking. Level 18 here you come. Aloha!

:) Hey my friend. I'm glad you like my music but im saddened that you wont bump because my believers are helping me. They are not trying to take over the 61. They love the layout and the music here, as do i and my wife :). I love my believers but that is not why we came to the 61. My main goal here is to get my music in the ears of new listeners. Other then that im here to listen to great new and found music. Bump me sometime bro ;).
Aloha

Thanks for the post, kegher. I'm posting back here since your wall isn't open to all.

I understand how you can become attached to the music. I have my favorites that I feel the same about. However, I like to let the music speak for itself and stand on its own to let it attract a new audience. When a group of max bumpers comes along, I have a tendency to feel like it is forced advertising, if you will. I'm not asking the max bumping to go away, just to hold off until the majority of the active listeners have a chance to digest it.

I did not mean to condescend the behavior. I was curious if it discouraged any other listeners. I guess it was my own little sanity check... ;-D

Hi, in respect to your comment regarding the massbumping of sellaband artist.
As a music fan who enjoys discovering new, unique music on my own I understand this behavior might put you off.

I'd like to explain my side of the story, I've known Cubworld for nearly a year now as me and other believers collectively walked the quite intensive road to his first professional album. This has created somewhat of a bond between me and the artist as I hope you can understand. As such I really don't view our massbumping as promoting but I, and others to I assume, plainly love everything he does now.
Above that, as you yourself said, the music is absolutely terrific, so I'd like to ask you to put aside that feeling of being put off by the 'sheep behavior' and simply bump what you like ;)

Besides, I believe that the t61 guys have put something in place to balance the effects of massbumping.

re your forum bug report:
the exact same thing has happened a few times, where the points for tracks uploaded during and shortly after the "scrape-hour" were very slow to come in. They did eventually though :D.
Congrats on your fast rise up the rankings btw :D
