Here There Be Tygers is a self-proclaimed progressive rock duo formed and based in Carson City, Nevada, previously named Montag’s Revelation. The name is derived from a Ray Bradbury short story. The duo consists of Bob Otsuka and Connore Farrell.
The group technically formed sometime in 2008 with Lue Vang, Jennifer Dodge, Cody Shelton, Bob Otsuka, and Connore Farrell, but Lue and Jennifer eventually left the band due to lack of interest. Cody left shortly after, leaving only Connore and Bob.
In February 2009, things began picking back up for the group when Bob Schuler joined on guitar, although after a few months he too left the band in June 2009.
Since then, the duo has tried valiantly to recruit more members. Harrison Root and Cole Bates expressed interest in joining on guitar and violin respectively, but both have never shown up to practice.
Eventually, it was suggested by Bob to remain a duo and recruit guest artists for recording albums and playing live. Connore agreed, and the band has been active again since October 2009. They are currently working on a few original songs as well as some covers. In addition, they also plan to record the entirety of one of their weekly jam sessions and release it as an LP. Also in the works is a Beatles cover album that will feature guest guitarist and fellow Beatle fan Heather DuValle.
The duo is currently working on a full-fledged original concept EP for their high school senior projects, as well as to build publicity.
