SUBSCRIBER ALERT!

The sixty-one MEGA Upload Party Wake for Michael Paul Miller is set to go off from 7 to 8 pm Pacific Time on Thursday, May the 8th. With 61+ artists slated, it should average about one new tune per minute, and there will be additional uploads hours later due to late uploads. Check KosmikRay 's Wallzine listing of the 61 official artists for your favorite bands, and let your favs know they are welcome to "crash" it and upload then if they didn't get the word in time. Also, feel free to let anyone you tunebox with in on it, as it is open to ALL artists and ALL listeners.
Enjoy the music, as we celebrate for Mike...

***please post a copy of this notice on friends or subscribers walls...we need to get the word out.

I didn't know Timothy Monger was in GLMS... I love that band.
(I had already bumped his Radio Harvest song, I think it's quite awesome)
Thanks for the tunes, listening now.

that said, I'm about to throw a tunebox at you with a song that gets in my head... may not be your liking, but just for your consideration!

I guess a morning might have been better. I do think you're right, however, that the people who are listeners that also play the points game won't be bumping something with 400+ very often. (Weird, I think, that hot bitch arsenal gets bumps up to 1000, given the proclivity to shy away from stuff that's already high-bumps).

There have been times that I go back and hit a song just because I "rediscovered" it myself. (Such as Susan Cowsill this morning) The points don't feel valuable when you pass that "crapload" threshold, so it's a bit easier to reward-bump instead of profit-bump. I've been stuck in the 50,000's for quite some time now because of it, but ... well, I can't buy gum with the points!

So...here's a bit of forewarning, you mad bumper you. We'll be uploading a new tune, "Big Black Car," to T61 sometime around 12:06pm (CDT) today. It's a happy-go-lucky murder song with a fun beat. It's also a track from our latest CD, The Center of the Universe, which is currently being featured as a "recommended CD" in the April issue of Paste Magazine...which makes us very happy.

You can, in fact, listen to our music at a Paste listening station in your local indie music shop. While doing so, feel free to exclaim loudly, jump up and down and make generally orgasmic faces. This will make the store manager very happy. (Us too.)

"Enough with the shameless self promotion already," you're probably muttering to yourself between whispered curses. "Get your poncy verbiage off my comment wall, you twittering hack."

All right already. Just throw a few bumps our way if ya like what ya hear...OK?

All right...here's a heads up. At or around 7:13pm (Central Daylight Time) today (March 26) Admiral Twin (that's us) will upload a new track to T61. It's called "The Fools' Brigade." It's in 6/8 time. It's cynical...but fun. There's even a real-deal tavern singalong chorus at the end. We think you'll like it.

OK then...

About Me

It's probably a bad sign that I can't think of anything interesting to write here.
I like a wide variety of music, but my favorite is powerpop. I was 12 years old when the Beatles first came to the US, and it made a huge impression on me.
For many years I thought that kind of music was gone. Then I found out it had just been abandoned by the so-called music industry. So I embarked upon an interesting journey of exploration with the help of this newfangled thing called the internet. Which (through other explorers) led me to this very site, an internet invention if ever there was one.
Carry on!
