The VenaViola project is born in autumn 2005 thanks to the musical meeting of Angelo Cusano (who dedicate himself to electronica just with the label ElettroConsumoIndispensabile and a recent collaboration with Lamia) and the bass-player Gaetano Vessichelli (for 6 years with a funk-rock band Maluenga and for short periods in post rock bands such as Edelweisse and Tenia). In the spring 2006 Michela Antonucci joins VenaViola and became the official singer. Also Marcello Venditti(Chaos Conspiracy), in August of the same year, become part of the band as official guitarist.
The stage of this project is Benevento, a small town in southern Italy, that after years of absolute nothing, it shows nowadays a good underground circuit destinated to became bigger and the cradle of something good for the italian musical culture. Influenced by the new musical activity in Benevento, VenaViola try to show an original idea, based on electronic sounds, in order to bring his contribute to the development of the underground scene of the town. Works can be considered sperimental, but they don't forget the armonia and the melody tipical of a song.
VenaViola project is supported by precious collaborations with Maurizio Tomaciello (actor at Accademia d'Arte drammatica Silvio d'Amico of Rome), Giulio Cestrone (Guitarist of Lamia), Luca Del Vecchio ( ex-guitarist of Maluenga) and AltRad.
360 Muse is the first EP of the band and takes the title from a reading written in four hands by Maurizio Tomaciello and Gaetano Vessichelli. At the moment the first CD is at work and it isn't too far from the publication.
Images, photograms, sansations from the past create sounds, a countryside background, an urban bus, a thought modify them...Loops, feedback, e-bow and voices are Venaviola's solutions, consequences and the way to perceive them...and live them again.
