From the very start of the first song to the very end of the album they’ll keep your attention fixed on their music: It is intense and varies as VERTIGO takes you constantly to new genres with strong self confidence and catchy melodies served on strange chords.
VERTIGOS music is hard to define: One moment it consists of hard guitar riffs, the next the softness of the voice caresses your ear. Should you label the music, it would probably be somewhat in between rock and pop music, but sometimes listening to Vertigos debut album – ’About Philosophy’– you would find elements of soul, fusion and even hard rock on it too.
VERTIGO is a band situated in both Berlin in Germany and Copenhagen in Denmark. Actually, the lead singer, Dane Lasse Matthiessen, travels between the cities parting his time in two. Where as the rest of the five man band lives in Berlin.
The musicians have very different backgrounds and experience within a lot of different genres such as pop, classical music, singer-song-writing, jazz and even hiphop and techno.
Is VERTIGO having problems finding their own style, finding their music, you could wonder?
