Biography

Jim Henrickson is the name of the music project started sometime during 2006 by some guy named, coincidentally, Jim Henrickson. While no one is completely sure, it is generally believed that the project name is at least partially based on his actual name. Clearly, we’re in the presence of a creative genius here. Currently, the ‘band’ consists of the following lineup: Jim Henrickson. Past members include: (nobody). Jim, who is currently working on his Aerospace Engineering major at Texas A&M; University, plays (or kind of knows how to play) an ever-increasing variety of instruments: guitar, ... (+) expand

Jim,

Thanks for the kind words + words of wisdom. I have heard about uploading stuff slowly.... looks like it's too late for that for the first few! But I'll be patient from here on.

Keep up the good work man....love your bio!

Pleasure is entirely mine, Jim. "About a Cloud" is the first one I heard, but I surely give the other a listen too. Take care!

Haha, yeah I feel that. I played in a jazz combo + blues/rock band the summer before I went to college. I really wanted to keep doing it with those guys, but something about a career in engineering just seemed more practical. :P

Hell, get the degree and then tour it up for a while and then get a job. Or job it and play in bars. I really need to find some people to play with.

Hey man, no prob - you sound great. I'm an aspiring guitarist, but I haven't quite nailed the singing + playing aspect. I get the signals mixed up and end up screwing up rhythms.

Aerospace Eng eh? I just finished up my EE degree up in NY and just moved down to SC to work for "the man". Unfortunately, that seems to be where most of the work comes from with engineering degrees. What are your plans post-school?

After my first comment I listened to your original songs. They're really good!
You've got a great sense of composition. Thanks for the tuning to Heartbeats.

Nah, no worries, you've got talent, and it'd be rude of me not to acknowledge it. By the way, them crazy snow playing birds is my other fave. Keep it up! Go go go! (And no, I don't know where the lighter fluid came from, but keep it away from any rampant flames)

News

October 6:

Just uploaded "Heaven and Hell."

MORE IMPORTANTLY: I improved the ending of "About a Cloud," so I beg you to give that one another listen -- I think it's a lot better now.

Peace! And please leave comments - I'm the type that responds.
