Twocker are a producer duo comprising of Alex Calver (Calvertron) and Will Bailey.
Their music is based in the Electro House genre, but with so many touches and influences bleeding through their tracks it would be easier to describe them as ‘Electro-House-Speed Garage-Bassline-Techno-Breakbeat-Rave-Drum N Bass-Funk’! (I wait in anticipation for the labels to jump on that subgenre and release the Best Of ‘Electro-House-Speed…’ compilation lol). 2007 saw the arrival of Twocker onto the scene, and with each play, Twocker’s infectious style has seen them shoot up the ranks of popularity with DJ’s and Clubbers alike, and if the short time it has taken them to achieve this, 2008 with be the year of the Twocker!
(Taken from Twocker’s Official Myspace Page with edits):
It’s been a massive beginnning for Twocker, with plays from Erick Morillo and Roger Sanchez, to gracing the esteemed playlists of Radio One from their line up of Premier League DJ’s such as Pete Tong, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules and The Trophy Twins. Twocker have also featured on the Pete Tong Video Fast Trax. Things have gone from strength to strength for Twocker, with their remix of Tom Day’s Whisper being signed to Ministry Of Sound Records. Twocker’s music is also heavily supported by the likes of Micky Slim, Jon Carter, Deepgroove, Nick Bridges, James Talk and Bass Kleph.
With a host of blistering remixes and productions that has seen Twocker being signed to the Ministry Of Sound, CR2 and Toolroom labels, there is no stopping these boys!

DontStayIn Interview With Twocker)
Please introduce yourself
Hi, we are Alex Calver (aka Calvertron) & Will Bailey who make up ‘Twocker’.
What does the name Twocker mean and why?
Twocker is UK police terminology, google it! No particular reason we chose that name, just thought it sounded quite catchy. (We aint teefs, honestly!)
First of all how did you guys meet and then decide to make dirty beats in the studio?
We hooked up over myspace, Alex (Calvertron) sent Will a track (which he liked) and we decided to hook up, since then we’ve been working together every week.
What or who is behind your musical inspiration?
We’re both influenced by similar styles, drum and bass, early garage, hip hop, metal. In terms of house we’ve got respect for the likes of Leger, Ten Velden, Slim, Tongy, Morillo and Roger Sanchez.
How would you describe your sound?
We make all kinds. Our main sound is like a fusion of Drum and Bass, Garage and Electro. But we don’t want to be known for one kind of sound.
Who does what in the studio? Do you bounce off each other well?
We eat yoghurts and drink coffee. Take the piss out of each other. Alex has been producing much longer than Will but we just try and bounce ideas off each other till an idea is working.
What kit do you use?
Mainly PC based and some outboard gear, the favorite being an Access Virus Ti Polar.
What heavy tracks can we expect coming up over the next 3 months?
We’ve just finished a mix of Daft Punk’s ’Around the World’ which is a deep and dirty bass driven track. Our ‘Stitch’ track has been signed to Bass Kleph’s label ‘Vacation’ based in Australia. We’re working on our new ‘Parasol EP’ which has a more progressive and deep feel to it. We’ve been doing a lot of remix work and have loads more lined up including a mix for Cr2 and more projects for Ministry of Sound. There’s plenty more going on, keep ya eyes peeled and ear to the ground!
You have had 3 tracks signed to Ministry of Sound, How does it feel when a big label gets hold of your tracks?
It’s a great feeling to have your work taken seriously by such professional and established labels, but no matter what size the label, when a track gets released it’s a proud moment. We treat every project with the same amount of enthusiasm.
You’ve had everyone from Morillo to Pete Tong playing your tracks; it must be great having the big boys play your tracks?
It’s a very rewarding feeling knowing such big Djs are supporting our music to say the least!
What ingredients make a good track?
For us the beat has to have a groove on its own first and foremost.
What’s your favourite tune?
CJ BOLLAND – SUGAR IS SWEETER (TWOCKER’S RESPEK TO VAN HELDEN REMIX)
If I wasn’t a DJ I’d be?
Will – A paperboy
Alex – Wine taster
