A small town California native, Cleve has always had a musical background around his household. As a sophomore in highschool, Cleve was asked by a teacher to try out for the school choir. He was hit by the performance bug instantly. In his junior year, Cleve formed an acapella singing group with some friends and began doing small performance gigs. The group was introduced to Antonio Flecha, a young producer and artist with dreams for the future.

Alas all good things must come to an end. The group split over creative differences. Yet the bond between Antonio Flecha (AF) and Cleve remained strong. Flecha took Cleve under his creative wing, teaching him the "business." Soon Cleve became an exclusive songwriter and producer for In 5 Music, with additional credits on many in 5 music productions, including a solo artist release in 2002. Musical influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Joe Cocker, John Mayer, Ben Harper and countless others gave Cleve a new lease on music. Which is recognizable in his current release for In 5 Music "Pictures, Letters & Love Songs." Now singer/songwriter Cleve Speight has continued his career in the Los Angeles music circuit, and continues to assist his partners Antonio Flecha and Syllabus in what has been dubbed In 5's Holy Trinity of Music.
