It all started in Rome, Italy.
Since the first rambunctious shows at Flake’s Irish Pub in Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood, Matt Miller has continued to play and create music, drawing from rock n’ roll influences new and old.
In 2006-2007, Matt had his first professional recording sessions produced by Grammy-winner Jack Douglas (John Lennon, Aerosmith). The resulting EP features a slew of veteran musicians including former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay, Beck and Sheryl Crow bassist Dan Rothchild and songwriter Marvin Etzioni.
With EP in hand, Matt formed a band and began playing around Los Angeles, quickly procuring a monthly gig at the Whisky A Go-Go for six months.
Later in 2007, Matt was tapped to write the theme song for Youth Venture, an organization that provides funding for youth leadership programs around the world. The song “Wanna Change The World” was used as the theme and children on four continents were filmed singing its lyrics for a promotional video.
In 2008, Matt returned to the studio to record his second EP. Recorded in Desert Hot Springs, San Francisco and Los Angeles, the five song EP is produced by San Francisco production team the Rondo Brothers. After eight months of hard work, Matt is preparing to release “EP II” to the world in late August 2008.
"EP," "EP II," and “Wanna Change the World” are available for download on all major internet distributors (iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody, Napster, etc.).
