This Is My Normal State is a post-rock/ambient band from Bristol, South West England. The band comprises of: Adam Fulford (guitar), Yuka Kurihara (vocals/cello), Mike Dean (bass), Dave Masom (drums) and Non Wilkinson (cello).

Formed in October 2008, the band has just finished recording it’s debut EP: Angel Falls (march 2009).

Taking influences from bands such as Sigur Rós, Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Mono, Mogwai and Joy Wants Eternity to name a few, the band create a sound-scape of interlocking melodies, typified by the use of reverb drenched guitar loops, and the fragile, ethereal vocals.
